Saving Justice in Library Journal

 

IT IS NO SHOCKER that the publishing game is under­going rapid-fire change. The astonishing growth in self-­publishing (over half a million self-published titles were released in 2013, up 400 percent since 2008, according to a recent Bowker report), the continued improvements in ereaders and digital reading apps, the rise in print on demand, and mergers among the Big Six (now Big Five) publishers are creating ripple effects throughout the industry.

Saving Justice at Christian Retailing

 

Inspirational-romance publisher Redbud Press has announced the upcoming launch of its debut titles in March 2015. After its launch month, Redbud will release one frontlist title per month. Out of the Deep by Cheryl Wyatt is the first of a three-book series titled Haven Bay Heroes, which features Coast Guard heroes in each installment and deals with issues of forgiveness and grief. Debut author Susan Crawford’s Saving Justice explores issues of poverty and social expectations with a schoolteacher heroine who follows her calling, and Secondhand Cowboy by Lacy Williams explores issues of redemption and coming home again...

Saving Justice Mentioned in The Oklahoman

 

A new Oklahoma publisher will begin releasing ebooks in March. Redbud Press LLC, which will publish inspirational romance novels, already has announced its debut books. After its initial launch month, the company will release one frontlist title per month, according to a news release. The company was founded by Lacy Williams, Erin Taylor Young and Regina Jennings — all Oklahoma authors who have combined to write 21 books. They saw a need for “more competitively priced inspirational romance ebooks and came together to fill it. Redbud Press has a focused digital-first model that allows for agility in the rapidly changing publishing landscape,” the release notes...
